Not a reference to FL1 purchase ;-)
I have sadly sold my hippo due to health problems.......it was getting on my nerves and making me sick...no.
Would just like to thank all those here who have given their time and advice freely, it was very much appreciated.
I'd like to think I contributed back and not just a post and run member.

I now own a Volvo and it makes a hippo look like a walk in the park maintainance wise.
I'm missing the simplicity of the TD4 already, who'd have thought that about a hippo.

The chaps/chapesses at http://www.volvoforums.org.uk are very helpful.
Get one of them with a DICE unit to plug it in and let the car tell you what it is/has. The VIDA/DICE combo is a powerful tool and the fleaBay knock-offs work a treat.
It's nice to have a diagnostic that tell you what the problem is and what to do about it. Unfortunately the answer often involves 'go to a dealer with wads of cash'.

Already in it.
VIDA has so far thrown up 5 versions of my car, 2 of which were from dealer database.
A TD4 is what it says, apart from a facelift. Volvos have many configurations of the same car.
