tapping into fuel line

mates got himself 2nd hand webasto heater, but no fuel tank with it.
can i t-tap into fuel feed line to supply fuel for it, with no probs?
last two ive fitted had own fuel tanks.

Yep you can, does it have a fuel pump as he will need that too.

Not sure TBH - would the Webasto draw diesel, or does the pump need to be running?

EDIT: Dave has answered my suspicion - separate fuel pump needed as well

jammy sod even got digital 7 day timer with it.

tell him it cant be done and it will cost £2000 to sort then send the unwanted unit & timer my way
