Yeah, even their oil filters are ****e....had a worrying moment with newly acquired silver RRC daily driver. Bought it and it had a full ticket and service just before I picked it up. started gettin very tappy with oil light on first few secs of every cold start up....turned out to be the ****part oil filter. I've since done another change with a genuine LR filter and now works as it should:rolleyes:

I had the same thing with two , yes two unipart filters. need less to say I wont ever use them again. I have coopers on both rrc now!

Hmmmmm,

Decided today, to put coolant in and run it for awhile, thinking whats the worst that can happen. The tapping went away. So took it a run up the drive and its now running on all cylinders and sounding sweet as ever. Wondering if the missing is maybe an electrical problem, had it missing a couple of times a while back. Hmmmm.

So touch wood i'm hoping i've actually got away with it........

I hope so!! Started it up again when I got back from work just to check and its sounding fine. I'm a lucky bugger if I have.

Now to install an oil pressure gauge and warning light!!!

Sorry for false alarm people, thanks for the replies.
