Hello so 2 days ago we had our fuel sender unit replaced on our 08 FL2 and the garage had to remove the tank , and the bill was not pretty.

There's only one pump in the FL2 fuel tank. It's job is to pump fuel from one side of the tank to the other.

There's a wiring fault on the FL2, which causes issues with the pump and sensor.

Hi.thank's for the info.this is my first post on here so bear with me.have you any idea where the fault is located .sorry for being so abrupt.thank you..

I believe there's a connector in the tank harness, actually inside the tank, which can suffer from an intermittent connection, giving erratic level readings.
I'm assuming most will have been fixed by now, I'm hoping mine has.

Hi nodge68.. that's sounds like it.
I bought this in 2019.knowing it had a fuel system fault.anyway trailered it home and started to have a look around.ifound it had fuel pipes had been cut and re joined.so being an old codger the first thing is check for fuel in the tank not the gauge which was showing half full.put in 5 gallon of diesel.
Took a while to get rid of the air. cracking the injectors but with a good half can of easy start off she popped and that's how it's been since.covid19 came and that put the mockers on everything..have you ever seen any one make the hole where the rubber cover is to get out the pump.
