takin doors apart

Sorry if this sounds looks a bit thick , but I want to slit the doors on the ninety to reseal the two halfs, as this is an ex millatry l/r it has old series type doors and the two bolts just turn when I try to loosen off the bolts so I need to know if there is somthin else to be removed to get to the bolts so I can get them apart.:confused2:

Nope, just did this yesterday myself...its just the 2 nuts and then, in my case, whack the bolts with a wooden mallet to loosen the door-top..

If the nut and bolt are moving round then you need to clamp the bolt while you loosen the nut...

if the studded rod rotates as well then it's come away at the join as shown here

anyways moving onto more interesting things - yer GB has landed, looks OKish, has seen some weather recently and has had the turrets played with but the splines look OK - apparently it came from LR Orphanage out of a 40K Disco (I reckon a leading 1 has been omitted but that's the Orphanage for you)
