Tailgate windowclips

Morning all
Anybody know how to get the little white plastic tailgate clips off? These are the ones that the rear black trim strip is attached to.

They are under the bottom lip of the window attached to the tailgate itself.
About 6 of them, they slide left to right and are marked >POM<.
I noticed the left side has an enlarged hole in the slot to get the head of the catch nipple through, but I can not budge them even though one came off in my hand.

Reason being they have rusted underneath and I want to clean it up and respray the area.

Just found this in Rave: section 17 page 88.

"Renew broken finisher clips as necessary.
Position finisher clips centrally on tailgate studs.
NOTE: Clips control height and seating of lower glass edge."

So they are the finisher clips, looks like a bigger job than I planned as I do not want to take the glass out now. Another time, unless anybody has done before..........
