has anyone ever just run a seam of silicone above the trim ontop of the tailgate mines just started lifting on one corner (NearSide)

Wouldn't have thought that would hold it in place. Have a Google of, Bondrite S1220. Won't melt the plastic and sticks like sh+t.

I used marine grade silicone , made a sound repair .

cheers guys just didnt see the point in removing all the trims if i could just run a bead of something above it to deflect the water away

Matt, yes i have done exactly that, my trim is held in place with normal grade silicone, its been like that since when i found the securing metalwork underneath corroded, been like it for last 6 years, works great invisible repair.
