tail gate problem

problem with tail gate window will not open a little to open door,l little pressure on top of glass with a screwdriver and window drops a little can open door.when door open press handle and manually close catch with little finger,window goes up and down as it should,can any one please help

I guess the first thing to check is the cables in the window regulator. It only takes a few minutes to remove the plastic panel on the door.

Vaguely recall this fault elsewhere. Have you checked the relay, I believe damp can be an issue and does the window work on both buttons ?
