Hi All
I've run into problems fitting a Stoneridge 2400 series tacho to my 2000 Disco V8 Manual with ABS.
The problem lies in getting the speed signal for the tacho, the tech guy at Stoneridge told me to pick up my feed from the terminal block on the ABS unit under the bonnet, Pin no. 33. Well they not only are not numbered but it doesn't look like there is 33 of them! Can anyone shed any light on which wire this may be? As i say it's to pick up a clean speed signal for the tacho head. I have bought the interface lead for the Disco from Stoneridge so thats sorted.
Whilst i'm on it, could anyone tell me the colour codes of the wires going to the ignition switch as i need a permanent positive, a switched positive on the ignition and an earth:confused:
Hope someone can help, no one seems to have fitted a tacho to a disco before so i'm on virgin territory i think:eek:

dont know how you are fitting it yourself as if it not tested and calabated you be in big trouble for using it.
if i was you i take it to a tacograph fitters. most truck repairs should be able to do it you get the sticker that rquired by law.

Hi Daz

We are fitting ourselves and then taking it for calibration, most of the fitting centres i've spoken to don't have an issue with it but perhaps now they know with all the trouble we're having we'll give up and use them anyway:rolleyes:
