I spotted a T plate Toyota 4x4 (RAV4 thingy). It looked ancient - very dated styling and shabby appearance.

Set me thinking.

We see loads and loads of old Land Rovers on the roads of Britain. 10 years ago Suzuki jeep-things were EVERYWHERE, and now they're nowhere to be seen.

Does than endorse our Landy's as the better (than Japanese) vehicle for longevity? Certainly seems to be more old Landy's about than any other 4x4?

cause landy where designed although not the best but yer cant beat em for practicality when it comes to parts and working on em, also couse of the number made parts where cheaper and easier to get hold of plus its more of an entheusiasts car so people tend to cherish them and are willing to put the work in. thats my opinion anyway.
besides which its fooking british!!!!! be proud!!!! ooo**** not no more its not is it!!

rav 4 is the worst motor ive ever had the displeasure of driving!Even worst than me falling apart series!

most old jap stuff gets bad rot, my bro aquired an old isusu trooper once and it sat in a feild until the chassis crumpled under its own weight, he handnt ever been thrashing it as it drank more petrol than he could afford! :D there was a girl up here lost her trooper and horse box when the rear crossmember fell apart on the road!! these things were both built in the 90's!!

my own toyota didnt have much paint on the chasis when i bought it and i looked at a few that had no paint whatsoever!!

Saw a T reg gaylander driving through Newquay today and thought of this fred - i don't think there can be that many of them about, and i would say it looked a bit past-it, and kind of reminded me of a rav4! It all looked a bit "dull" (not unlike its surroundings!)
