Hey folks, half way through replacing one today, as the old upper bearing was no longer there!

Question is, having come home with two new bearings, having knocked out the lower bush, all looks fine, however the top bush looks nothing like the replacement, and I cannot see how the new bush/bearing will fit in the top 'hole'

any ideas? I have looked at threads here where people are replacing these, but they seem to show same upper and lower bushes...

What part numbers have you bought?
I'm aware of 3 different set ups for the top bearing. 10 spline axles with a raiko bush, earlier 24 spline with a bearing and 'top hat' sort of swivel pin, later (TD5 etc) 24 spline with a swivel pin that has tapered edges and is a bastard to get in straight.

I got bearings 606666g, x2, they will fit the bottom fine, I have hammered out the bottom bearing guide, so it is fine..

I am wondering whether ABS might be my issue, ie I have it!

top bearing on abs models is not a taper roller it is a plain bearing to allow the sensor to go through the middle of it.......

the bottom bearing is a taper roller same as non abs models
