i know this has been discussed and I have searched but can't get a clear answer, so here is my predicament.
I have fitted my 1998 D1 front axle into my 1988 110 and want to make sure that while I am doing so much work I don't overlook the swivels.
I am sure at nearly 20 years old the swivels will have a a stripdown at some point and any lube in there hasn't done the full 123K miles.
Should I leave alone and hope for the best or open the filler plug (no others) and add some or a full one shot?

you could undo the swivel seal and let remaining lube run out, flush housing and refill using a measured sachet, it will have lost some as it tends to creep in to axle over time darkening front diff oil
