On Thursday night, it became obvious that whilst the worklights i've fitted (but not yet wired up) on the back will be incredibly useful, but it would also be useful to have some form of lighting attached to the roof rails pointing sideways to light up the area next to the vehicle. We used to have them on our vehicles at work, they were called "scene lights".

Not an issue to fit them, but means rather than just 1 switch i'll need 3 (left, back and right). In addition to the switch for the front spots. The original location I was planning to put the switches (below the LED beacon controller, where the ash tray used to be) won't really fit 4 switches plus there's already loads of wiring behind the beacon controller.

So I was thinking about putting the switches up next to the sunroof handle (its manual rather than electric) in two pairs either side. There's a nice chunky piece of plastic trim up there which I assume has a fair sized void behind it for the wiring. Should then presumably be a straightforward job to run the wiring around the top of teh headlining, down behind the a pillar trim, and out through the grommit behind the glove box.

Can anyone recommend any switches (ideally mounted in pairs) that would look good up there? And any issues I need to be aware of (other than the future likelihood of water ingress from the sunroof!)
