Need some advice please gurus.

Just about to remove original and much dented rear ally floor by grinding off steel pop rivets all around, replacing with new 5mm chequer plate more to my liking.

Can anyone confirm if it is just the case of remove the rivets and the floor will pop out? It doesn't look to be fixed in any other way to the supporting small crossmembers underneath, so would just like confirmation before I start the job!

Thanks.

The three pressed steel transverse supporting beams will have to be disconnected (by drilling the pop rivets) from the longitudinal beams which are spot welded to the floor. On mine the floor was also spot welded to the seatbox. I found it quite a time consuming job even with the tub removed. A simpler soulution would be to just lay the new floor over the old.
