Mission successful! That was fun 
To re-assemble, I put a piece of wood under the vehicle to provide a smooth flat surface. We then simply heaved the axle back into place whilst sat on two trolley jacks. It was then possible to tinker around with the height / angles to get the radius arms back in their receptacles.
I replaced the radius arm bushes, anti-roll bar bushes and drop links (had to grind one of those off). All nyloc nuts were replaced with new, everything else was re-used.
Still got to re-fit the other axle back on the donor vehicle so it's movable.
