hi, I’ve just purchased RR Sport 3.6TDV8. I love it but...... I’m wondering about suspension, I had a Vogue before and the suspension use to raise as soon as I started it up. This doesn’t seem to happen with the Sport, should it?? It goes to maximum height and lowers very fast when I want it too. So is the ride height the same as parked height or do I have a problem?? Thank you in advance

Just for clarity . Which model did you have previously? Also have you checked your manual to check about suspension heights?
Hi, thanks for reply. I had an L322 before V8 petrol. As soon as I started the engine the suspension went up by about 2-3 inches and would lower again if sat in traffic or once the ignition was turned off. I just assumed the sport would be the same, but doesn’t seem to raise upon startup. I think maybe it’s just the difference between the two, one of the missing refinements!!
Certainly a rougher ride.

I checked manual but doesn’t give much info on ride height or whether it should adjust on ride height. It’s on 22” rims so think that’s why the ride isn’t too smooth.

Am I missing something here? My L322 v8 4.4 doesn't mover unless it's told to - stays at normal height engine on or off unless I adjust it - sounds to me like your previous car had a bad leak?

Please say it’s not on low profile tyres, lol

What year is it plse :)
If the picture is a guide it's not on any tyres, it's on rubber ribbons. tenor (2).gif

That's it exactly Although as it's the middle age equivalent of the boy racer mobile, I suppose theyre only to be expected. If it was a FFRR there would be lots of not complimentary comments, coming your way. However, as it's the sport I expect you might just get a few eye rolls.
Have you tried asking the dealer(yours or any of the main) about the rise and fall of Reginald Suspension? Are you still in warranty?

Yep you're missing something. The L322 does indeed adjust if idle. Although not sure its two to three inches. I dont know the ins and outs and besides , others better than me at this stuff have explained it in great detail several times, on this website, somewhere.

Couldn’t quite see, but indeed 22inch rims can’t leave much scope for a sidewall , lol

One of my pet hates seeing a 4x4 on low profiles :(:(

Nope definitely meant to rise and lower, my compressor packed up on my L322 and the first symptom was no raising on startup or lower while idol in traffic etc.

I’ve done all sorts of research but found nothing conclusive. And yes it does have rubber bands not by choice I have to say, but everything else was right, will eventually change the wheels.

All manuals are available free for owners on the land rover owners info page. People selling them are just taking advantage.

Ah that’s good to know , see I didn’t know that and thks so much for the heads up and indeed the OP

I did look on main Land Rover site but could only see new models

Would u be so kind to share a link pretty please, lol
