Hi

Sorry I have been away from the forum for two years!!

Yesterday I changed all four springs on my 1986 RR classic to standard springs, from a Britpart 2" lift. The suspension is now sitting 10mm lower on the offside rear than the other three corners. What is strange is that with the 2" lift fitted it also did the same thing.

Any help or suggesntion would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to return this RR Classic to original condition and specification.

Were they new springs and shocks? And what are your bushes like.
Are the springs seats good? Same with all shock mounts?
If everything looks ok try swapping the rears springs with each other. If nothing changes try the shocks.

Hi

Thanks for the suggestion, new 2" lift springs and 4 shocks were fitted two years ago. When they were fitted it still sagged 10mm on the o/s/r. Recently fitted 4 standard springs, still the same sag???

hi there!

not sure about this but i heard there slightly different sizes on each spring not by much but enough to cause them to sag, i cant see it being shocks as they just cushion the the movement the spring determines the ride height.

just a thought
