Hi,
Wondering if anyone could help me.
Due to a work task, i have a 99 Range Rover V83.5 Vogue. But no ordinary veh. Its been armoured and used to be part of the diplomatic fleet in Beirut.
Had a hard life but has been faultlessly serviced and drives fine but have a question about some control buttons that not sure what they do!!
Obviously i dont have a owners manual for it so couple of questions.
Can anyone tell me what the following do...
Button with up and arrow another with down arrow.
In between is another with a pic of a wheel going over a bump with a cross over it.
Button with motorway bridge(?) on it.
Cheers in advance

suspension height button, the bump holds the height the button is set on and the m'way is the crusie control... or at least thats wot i think they do :D

they all are the control for the air suspension, the up and down arrow, go up and down to different ride heights. i have not seen the down arrow and the buno one but suspect the bump one hold the ride height instead of it auto changing when it reaches certain speeds.

the motorway one is the cruise control

you can download the manual here: The Green Oval - Downloads | Land Rover Data

cd2 is what you need for the range rover

if its armoured then i would assume they have replace the air with coils, easy way to find out is look under car see if there are springs!

the amour plating usually adds a lot of weight, i suspect the engine is a 4 or 4.6 engine thats been reworked and is prolly a 5 litre plus by now!

with all the weight i'd say around 6-8mpg???

I had it on a weighbridge other day and was weighing in at 3650kg.
Its definitely a 3.5, well outward appearance its a 3.5.

i would suspect its a bit bigger than that if its armoured mate!!! i dont think the 99's had 3.5 engines and i would assume they kept the electronic ignition and other bits and bobs that came with the standard car!!
