Hello,

Is there anybody out there who can help me with suspension problems? p38 model.
The car seems to only go up one side when it feels like it or the suspension goes down the to the pump stops say about once a month.(35mph max speed on dash)
I have computer program that tells me "valve stuck" and i can reset the ride hide but sometimes it take a long time to reach ride height.
WHAT THE POINT OF A RANGE ROVER THAT DOESN'T LIKE PUMPS OR POT HOLES.......LOL.

Thank you .

Mike.

You can buy a repair kit for the valves if they are sticking, this is normally caused by the intake & exhaust filters not being changed !

P38s were never type approved for coil springs. The airbags are apparently too far inboard for safe replacement with coils and that makes them unstable. You'll probably also have difficulty with your insurance for that reason.

Just fix it. It's not that difficult or expensive when you look into it. There's plenty of assistance available.

My old man had an airbag perish on his unusual but not unheard of he was given the option of coils but he deemed what's the point in having an armchair on wheels if your gonna get thrown out the seat everytime you come across anything more than a pothole lol
Worth repairing in my eyes, If you wanted coils you've bought a disco ;)

Hmm, the ride in a P38 is pretty smooth - but the same can easily be achieved with coils.

Saying that, I think the air suspension on the P38 is actually one of its redeeming features, the ability to raise it for off-road and to lower it for motorway cruising is a superb idea. Kept well maintained and it is a great system imo.
