I have a 1992 Disco 200tdi.

Just fitted standard height heavy duty shocks and coil's to all four wheels.

Finished the job and noticed that the front of the vehicle is noticeably higher than the rear.

I think that one of two things have happened.

1) I have mixed up the coils, and put the front set on the rear and vice-versa.

2) It is supposed to be like that.

Any ideas? To be honest I think that I have put the front coils on the rear. If this is the case what are the consequences.

Did they have litle blobs of paint on them when you brought them I know on Tractta's all the springs are colour coded as passenger side springs are different to the drivers side.

No blobs of paint, just all yellow. If it helps they are supergaz shocks and coils by britpart.

I did place a front and a rear together when getting them out of the box, they looked the same. It maybe at this point that they may have got mixed up

Generally Discos 'appear' to be higher at the rear than the front, partly due to the higher roof at the rear, but also because the rear is actually slightly higher anyway, although I'm not sure if the springs are actually a different length !!

I'd try contacting the supplier and ask if the springs are actually different lengths (rear with respect to front) or actually different weight loadings

Standard springs HD or not have different compression rates for front and rear although will be the same in length so u may have put the rear stiffer springs on the front but I would have thought the springs (as redhand said) would have had some ID on them some where.
The diesel has different springs on some models dependant on the vin for the drivers/passenger sides and rear as redhand said.

Sorry to complicate things I'm sure u have just mixed the springs up..
