Hi all. The more posts I read about suspension the more confused I get so apologies for posting this. I just picked up a 1985 V8 90 and am tidying her up a bit. The suspension looks original and I want to change shocks and springs. 75% on road and 25% greenlaning is my aim. I am considering mixing terra firma 2" shocks with standard height, light load bearmach springs. Don't have a big budget so do you think this is a satisfactory combo? Much appreciated.

I'm a fan of standard suspension to be honest, although I've had bearmach springs in the past and they was good to be fair.
I only got rid of them because they was +2s and wanted standard height.

got koni +2" dampers and stock height springs on mine. no issues. good articulation because of the longer dampers but you might need spring retainers at the back as they can pop out. no biggie.

I've got medium duty terrafirma standard springs and pro sport shocks. Only done a weeks worth of driving but I am impressed so far. They are smooth and a hell of a lot better than the ones that were on before. Cost £250 IIRC

thanks all, got the terra firma shocks and standard springs. also got spring retainers and tubular turrets.
