hello people i looking at doing a suspension lift on the disco but would like to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of using blocks instead of springs?

Also:

What size blocks can i use (safely)?
How much difference will a lift make to the onroad/towing?
what lift can i go to before i have to change the prop?

I have a 1990 disco 200tdi with no anti-roll bars.

i took my 90 up 4" and thats about the most ya can go and just about get away wi standard props.i am just dreamin up a hydraulic adjustable suspension setup that should go from standard ride hight to plus 6",each corner will be individualy adjustable so ya could level ya sen up abit wen drivin a side slope,or wen yuv got a cross axled ya can drop the lifted wheels to the ground.all being well i should av it built fa summer.
