The work was carried out at a so call Land Rover specialist garage so don’t have that information sorry but again was just looking for the easy fix again is there ever an easy fix with a Land Rover lol next thing is they want to take the body off to investigate further could this be a possible outcome ?

ah I see, , alas that should have all been done by them, personally would give them a call and tell them it’s not correct as I imagine it wasn’t cheap to get a new compressor and sensor fitted

Don’t see why they would wish to take the body off , have they said why and for what reason please

Out of curiosity are u near dundee please as there’s an extremely good land garage if the current one won’t resolve the issue

Plus is there any information on ur invoice plse, just wondered if they may have listed all the work that was done

ur more than welcome to pm me the garage if u don’t wish to say on an open forum

sorry that’s not much help , Plse let us know what they say

They say that on the diagnostic system is showing a is it a k line fault or something like that but once you clear the fault then operate the suspension up and down a few time this k line fault pops back up but told me if a don’t touch the suspension and leave it on normal ride height it will be fine

What a cop out, don't move the suspension and it will be fine:rolleyes: Need to find a competent garage.

personally sounds like they’ve not got a clue as with a K line error it should also show a DTC code

for them to fit a new compressor and height sensor and then to tell u it’s ok in normal ride height personally disgraceful , sounds like u may need to go to another garage

may i ask where abouts in scotland u are , is Dundee very far plse

am gobsmacked for a garage to say that after spending which I imagine wasn’t a cheap job

would name and shame them that’s for sure

hi mate

indeed, how disgraceful for a garage to say that after fitting a new compressor and height sensor , imagine the OP didn’t get change from at least 1k

Yes mate very disappointed

indeed I bet u are , would u be prepared to name them plse as then it will warn others not to go there

there is a lane river garage that I can highly recommend but there in Dundee , alas don’t know how far away u are from there

if u haven’t got a code reader u could buy a basic one for around £50,00 , with these motors u really need one anyway as it will save u a lot of money in the long run

Autel AP200, white one , just looking for a link for u

Just feel gutted for u that you’ve been fobbed off like this

apologises , DTC stands for , diagnostic trouble codes

Going forward any suggestions welcome as I love my Range Rover more than the missus lol and would get rid of her first lol

kind of lost on what to do next have it booked into GEM Land Rover Larbert Falkirk next month so don’t know what story there going to give me any questions I should be asking as this is costing a dare say not as much as a Land Rover dealer ship but am into the thousand already so far so any help or information more than welcome cheers

Best suggestion is to learn to DIY and buy diagnostics.

so found the link for u ref a cheap diagnostic

https://www.autelstore.co.uk/wholesale/autel-maxiap-ap200-bluetooth-scanner.html

Lol, if u intend to keep the RRS i would buy a gap iid, it will do basically everything ur need as it can calibrate the suspension , program keys etc etc , however they’re around £420 , but pay for them selves very quickly

https://www.gap-diagnostic.com/products/iidtool/

if ur handy and with a diagnostic reader it may save u a trip to the garage as with the codes can indicate what’s wrong , may then be able to fix it urself

once again sorry to hear of the disgusting service you’ve had a shame there going to get away with it

Or download updates for software or is it all on it

the software is all on the plug in dongle, u just need to register urself , as per instructions ,

the Autel AP200 is very basic , the gap iid is very advanced with doing virtually everything ur ever need , plus seeing many garages will charge roughly £100 per visits to plug in there’s will save u a lot of money

this is the cheapest I’ve seen the gap iid , around £420 , plus the after service from gap iid are second to none, they are based in Canada but will reply via email normally within 24 hours, superb company and very helpful

there’s quite a few who have the gap iid including myself

if u do decide to go to a garage or want advice there mickey who has an excellent reputation on land rovers , might be worth a phone call as he so helpful and also very knowledgeable

hope this helps a little
