Hi out there needing some help here on recently replacing the compressor for the suspension on my 2012 Range Rover sport the car is now showing a k line fault can anyone help please
The work was carried out at a so call Land Rover specialist garage so don’t have that information sorry but again was just looking for the easy fix again is there ever an easy fix with a Land Rover lol next thing is they want to take the body off to investigate further could this be a possible outcome ?hiya
what diagnostics have u got please , as seeing u replaced the compressor and level sensor ur need to recalibrate the system
Did u also fit a new relay for the compressor plse,, plus was the compressor like for like , ie an AMK for an AMK, or did u have an hitachi , thks
hope it helps

They say that on the diagnostic system is showing a is it a k line fault or something like that but once you clear the fault then operate the suspension up and down a few time this k line fault pops back up but told me if a don’t touch the suspension and leave it on normal ride height it will be fineah I see, , alas that should have all been done by them, personally would give them a call and tell them it’s not correct as I imagine it wasn’t cheap to get a new compressor and sensor fitted
Don’t see why they would wish to take the body off , have they said why and for what reason please
Out of curiosity are u near dundee please as there’s an extremely good land garage if the current one won’t resolve the issue
Plus is there any information on ur invoice plse, just wondered if they may have listed all the work that was done
ur more than welcome to pm me the garage if u don’t wish to say on an open forum
sorry that’s not much help , Plse let us know what they say
What a cop out, don't move the suspension and it will be fine Need to find a competent garage. They say that on the diagnostic system is showing a is it a k line fault or something like that but once you clear the fault then operate the suspension up and down a few time this k line fault pops back up but told me if a don’t touch the suspension and leave it on normal ride height it will be fine

personally sounds like they’ve not got a clue as with a K line error it should also show a DTC code
for them to fit a new compressor and height sensor and then to tell u it’s ok in normal ride height personally disgraceful , sounds like u may need to go to another garage
Yes mate very disappointedhi mate
indeed, how disgraceful for a garage to say that after fitting a new compressor and height sensor , imagine the OP didn’t get change from at least 1k
What is a DTC fault
Yes mate very disappointed
Going forward any suggestions welcome as I love my Range Rover more than the missus lol and would get rid of her first lol
Best suggestion is to learn to DIY and buy diagnostics.Going forward any suggestions welcome as I love my Range Rover more than the missus lol and would get rid of her first lol
