Hi
My suspension compressor has been getting noisier and noisier over the last few months, now pressing the rear lift (off road)button it does not lift but the compressor is making a right racket.
I took it apart today to see what it was like and was getting ready to order the new piston ring kit for it as this is a common fail.
However, once i separated it and tipped it up i got about an eggcup full of water out of it which was very rusty, moving the piston manually it is wrecked! more than just the ring!. the whole thing is brown rust inside!
Anyway, i have come to the conclusion that i need to replace the whole pump, which i am fine with but i dont know where the water has come from! is it a build up of condensation maybe or has it been sucked in from somewhere?

The D2 from what I recall doesn't have an air dryer so an excess of moisture can build up if she's used in moist conditions.
However water can also find its way in to the airbox and through the compressor intake..

Was the compressor intake filter dry?

To go with your Compressor you will also need to rebuild/replace the valveblock.
