hiya , have a '05 disco 3 and had suspension warning lamp on for a few miles , then it wouldn't lift on front axle after start up . It keeps saying it will lift when it cools down , and also had selected off-road height on rear axle all on its own ! I lowered car right down , and now it won't lift at all. Can anyone please help ???

The light means u have a fault recognised by the system.........listen to Mr. Landrover Diagnostics and the scanner will tell u......it'll save u time....the failure mode for what u've described is "valves open or short circuit"

fault codes won't clear when checked out by an ex-Landrover dealer .. Any other suggestions before i sent it to a Landrover main dealer ????

Because is not enough to clear the fault..........the scanner tells u what the fault is and it must be repaired........dont u remember what the fault code or description was?.......on the "guessing mode" u can just follow the diagram and check all the parts involved stasting from the fusebox > relays>connectors>sensors>valves...etc. U don't need a main dealer just someone with a Hawkeye uncoded for Disco 3. From what i've seen on this forum to by one will be cheaper than to pay a main dealer........and u'll have a good scanner for the future....for D3 it has calibration with inflation/deflation enhancement too.

Car sorted :D
Turned out that the compressor was the faulty part , and needed changed.
Had the lone of an '03 D2 while mine was gettin fixed :) . Its for sale at McCartney motors , Larne if anyone is lookin for a nice red one ... I think they are lookin around £8K for it
Thanx for everyones help !!!!!!!

Checked the compressor? Replaced one when i did WE at a dealer, same symptoms as you?

Edit: Good good lol, beat me!

I did some work experience at a dealer, and replaced one as a result of those symptoms...(similar anyway)

And that solved the issue, no other trouble, or atleast they didn't bring it back!

Glad you got yours sorted ;)
