Surely it can have gone again!!!

I replaced my VCU bearings earlier this year ( bought from Foundry 4x4 and fitted by local garage) as there was a constant rumbling noise when moving.
Not so long afterwards i noted a similar but greatly reduced noise.
The landy would only have done 1-2k miles at most in this time.

The noise is present in all forward motion, ignition on or off, freewheeling or under drive, it doesnt increase/decrease in pitch or volume. There s no change when cornering that i have noticed.

Is it possible the bearings have failed again and so soon?
Is there a likely cause for them to fail so quickly?

were the bearing genuine gkn or cheap copies as most will agree that the after market bearings seem to have a short life span

Im sure they had GKN stamped on them

foundry4x4 flogged me some cheap ****e at the higher price of branded mounts, which only lasted a couple of months.

Sounds like cheap bearings to me.

From what i remember the GKN have FAG bearings with a red seal
