Hi everyone
My D2 sunroof motors have decided to seize up and I did see somewhere that tells you how to clean them up but I just can't seem to find it ANYWHERE:mad:
So does anyone out there know how to do it, or has anyone got two going cheap so I can replace them?
Thanks Paddy

The motors are seal units but they are easy to remove to check them out just three Torx screws to undo.
The sliders in the track can seize, to get to these if you can't open the roof is to undo the four glass bolts.

Mine were full of rusty water. I cleaned them up having taken them to pieces then dried them out in the airing cupboard . The tricky bit as I recall is getting the worm drive to engage such that the cam is just at the point of cutting off the switch. They are disgustingly expensive to buy new - chances are you can salvage them with a bit of care!!I

paddy take the map holder across the roof off and you can see motor three torq screws to remove the motor, comes apart quite easy unless the shaft is stuck in bottom bearing.Mine was!i used tooth brush and wd40 to clean it up.I then grease the bearing in bottom of motor put back together and replaced.its not a long job to do
