Hi there!
I bought myself a 98 FL 1 and found out some rust on the sunroof structure.
I am trying to check the drain holes are ok, but the left front one is ok, the right front one seems blocked really near the top (the wire only enters a few mm).
Can you please confirm there are two drain holes at the front?
If affirmative, what I do to unblock the right one? I am afraid if I use brute force it will break and water will start entering the roof liner....

Thanks in advance

There is a drain pipe in each corner.

The photo shows yours is completely rusted on the frame. Likely the hole is full of rust and debris. You are right, the tube will snap off if forced. It may have done already.
I made a new drilled sleeve with a top flange and then put a thread on it, held by a nut and fitted it to the corner and connected the pipe.

Do I need to remove the roof liner to access the drain pipe?

Yes, not difficult. All grab handles, interior light and trim clips out. Rear upper panels out and door rubbers pulled off, drop lining.

You can then remove the frame and de rust and repair.
