Sun roof

Hi everyone,
Got 300 Discovery with a leaking ratchet broken front sun roof. Did a quick google search and ended up here!!!
Dunno if this is the right place to ask a question....but I'll try.
The ratchet doesn't work, and both sun roofs leak...
Is there a way of blanking off the sunroof ('cos we don't use them much), or is it an easy job to replace/repair/seal the sun roofs?
