finally thought I had fixed the dreaded sump leak about four years past. Did quite well, dry as a bone up until a few weeks ago.

leaking quite generously now, tried putting on two gaskets - the thick ones from turners - but it is still coming out the back and the front passenger side corner.

guessing the sump is too warped now so maybe a new sump or time to bring the conversion back to petrol forward.

or timing case to block gasket

thanks for the replies i will check out those areas, seemed to be the sump on initial inspection, the old gasket had oil n it all the way round and with the new ones on it seems to be coming from the back bit - another stupid design bit imho it is so narrow there - and the front passenger corner. tightened the bolts as much as possible which seems to have reduced it a lot.

I agree on the design of the front bit too

the daughter has disappeared to Exeter with it this morning so it will be mid December before I see it again. no doubt she will thrash it down the motorway and get it leaking well again

had to replace 3 leaking wheel cylinders and the bonnet catch too, the joys of a series :D but hey the heater works

truth :D

but this happened on the way to Exeter
