Sump Guard after todays events

Sump guard needed i thinks, Didnt realise it was this close today !

I'm curious Shutty, how did the Frontera behind ya do on the same slope ? From the pics looks like it has a bit more ground clearance than the freebie ?

Did far better than me, Slightly bigger wheels and the clearence and he was down in about 1-2 mins where i took about 6 carefully inching downwards

looks more like a vauxhall monterey than a frontera, the one thats shares the same parts and body shell as a isuzu

The standard Freelander sump gourd is surprisingly strong if going slowly forwards, the real problem with them seems to be if you have to reveres in deep mud, then they act as a scoops, and things only get worse as they are not designed to hod weight from above!

Stick one of these on...



Add similare to back end....



Sort some protection for your sills....



Stick somthing round your VCU...(same thing under rear wheel)



Put a touch of ally on the front....




Not only will you get over most rocks without damage...you could probably drive over the Vauxhall as well
