Just about to refit the sump and I noticed that the replacement gasket I have has little rubber pillers which help hold the gasket in the right position. only prob is that my sump doesnt have the holes for these little fella's to fit into. I read on post that some sumps don't have a gasket and use RTV however am I ok to cut the litlle pillers off and use the gasket anyway? Symetricly it all lines up but I am not sure if the face of the sump is machined different when the changed the design.
