Summer Pack

Okay so I know all about the Winter Pack for the FL1 but read somewhere about a summer pack available in the warmer parts of the world.

I can't seem to find the post that mentioned it but I do remember them mentioning an oil cooler.

Anyone clued up on this?

Which freelander is it?
Do you have problems with it overheating?
Take my FL2 across Spain most summers and have no problems.
I put 15w40 in for the summer but don’t expect I need to.

It's a FL1 with no problems, just interested in the genuine add on from Land Rover.

I'm pretty sure that only the automatic got the high temperature running kit. This consists of a fan assisted air to fluid cooler for the transmission. There's not much else that needs extra cooling on the FL1, and definitely not in the temperature climate of the UK.

Is PBC101370L part of that kit?

No.
That's a standard engine oil cooler, fitted to all TD4 engines, regardless of climate it's expected to run in.

As far as I know, the hot weather kit just included an air blast automatic transmission cooler, as I said earlier.

Ah, I see. There might be something extra that's been sneaked in for hot climates, but I don't know about it.
