ok update time cause its raining again lol
got everything cleaned up and the p gasket/water pump gasket and manifold gaskets all went like a dream, the cyclone was BLOCKED to a point when i first filled it with petrol it just held it but thats now clean and blowing through good.also fitted the egr blanking plate without the egr the way it should be lol. however its on hold at the moment for 2 reasons lol
1 its raining (most of you already know i dont like to get wet lol)
2 i cant get the ****ing dip stick bolt back in it seems too high.

so new question (im hoping rain stops and i dont need an answer to this)
is there play of some kind on the dip stick umm tube i guess where it can move up from where it should be lower down. i havent looked its dark and wet haha.

additional information for anyone interested.
to clean the inlet manifold i blasted the outside with a 3 in 1 de-grease spray on rinse off from halfords left it do its thing then sprayed it off. then i cleaned what was left on the outside and the inside with petrol. there was a LOT of crap in the back so i had to full it give it a good shake and let it stand a little then shake and empty. repeated it 3 times prob only needed the 2.
as i mentioned already the cyclone i just filled with petrol and shook it about a bit then rinsed through with petrol
all the intercooler pipes were ran though with petrol as was the intercooler itself (my intercooler was fairly clean not long done that)

oooo and 1 last thing for anyone interested the "FAN SPANNER" i made was from 4mm mild steel 32.1mm at widest point 1.5 inch deep and 31.9mm at the back simple straight cuts
then welded a flat 4mm mild steel handle to it worked perfect. if there's any interest i'll throw up a photo lol

You know we like picys !:p
ok so the top (cut out part) is 115mm X 85mm x 4mm
the cut about the middle is 36mm deep and 32.1mm at the open end 31.9mm at the back
handle is 380mm X 35mm X 4mm

also i never said it looked pretty haha just that it worked :)

all back together and running well, still have the sedementor to bypass but i have the 8mm copper pipe and jubilee clips ready haha. 2 days of test runs and no drop i can notice in the coolant although i do need to nip up the p-gasket bolts because i can see a dribble. seems to have more grunt between 1.2 and 1.8k rpm than it did have (no racer but i no longer need to change down a gear so much). can also hear the turbo working well now seems to be spinning up smoother and slightly more responsive. over all happy i took off the EGR and cleaned things up :)
