stuck vavle

hi took my series 3 to a garage has a stuck valve so is not fireing on all 4 cylinders is there a simple fix or have i got to pay the mechanic to take the head off please advise

How do you know that you have a stuck valve?

Have you taken the rocker cover off and checked that everything is doing what it is supposed to do?

just going on what mechanic said will take off rocker but have to source new gasket
