this lane been vro & wont get cut up if he is at top of barrow track. pM me

Only 300 yrds from the road but well worth having a recci on foot.

Bugger, only day I'm not home, spent an hour stuck on the M6 bumper to bumper the wrong side of Manchester, just rocked up at Keel services, navigation says 3½hrs to go

I will keep an eye, if needs be I'll come when I get home but will still be an hour out from home!

They Were Stuck in water to top of tow ball. I did show them the VRO sign on the way back out. Yep there is a VRO & the sign has been moved in the 2 years I was last up there. Lucky I knew which end they were as there is no way of winching 300+ yards to the other side.
Then done 2 green lanes on way back to the motor way to make the night out worth it.
At least SWMBO enjoyed the snatching While we shook the motor.
Looks like I'm on the LZ rescue list now

Few thoughts
Don't go green laneing with 1 motor
Carry more rope
Oh & tell the wife there are wellies in the back " before" she is up to her knees in water

Massive thanks to @Hicap phill and his wife for coming out and giving us a tug, and a tug and a tug.

Lesson definitely learnt - when out solo, carry some waders so the other half can go depth finding and check how solid the underwater ground is. And also to put recovery kit back into the landy after cleaning it out.

Have a single pic from before it got dark to keep you all happy.

dont go out alone on VRO'd lanes

Well done you folks. Sat here in comfort too far away and read the reports and distinguished and impressive op - cordination and rescue. Proud of LZ.
