Stuck (?) half shaft??

Replacing front wheel bearings and got to point where I remove the half shaft.

Can only pull it out about a 1/4 of an inch and no further!

No symptoms of it being broken in the axle.

Any suggestions?

what you removing the 1/2 shaft for?

AFAIK on all models of fender its wheel off, drive flange off, caliper off, 52mm nuts/lockwashers off, then pull the disc off.

I think the 1/2 shaft stays put till you take the swivel apart, its attached to the CV joint on tother end.

ps, you need to remove the circlip on the shaft to take the flange off.

Do you know when you start a job when you're tired and should've left it until the next day.....

Thanks lads - cracking on with the job now with a clear head......next week I might remove the gearbox to change the door hinge.........

You will only have to do that if you have previously fitted Lambo door's.:doh:
