hi guys i got the abs light on and the hd light on and the tc light on and the hand brake light wont go off. so i got it code read and it brought up front right abs sensor output to low. shuttle valve electrical failure. now just to put you in the picture it had the front driverside ripped off which is all repaired now. abs sensor fitted. and i have done the shuttle valve electrical fault test which passed. cleared codes and lights went off untill i pressed the brakes all back on again with same faults. but when i switch ignition on they go out but then come straight back on. what else could it be any ideas would be good.

I don't know much about Disco ABS but you should be able to get a blink code out of it so that has to be step 1.

Next, check wheel bearings for play - this can affect the sensors.
Then I would check that there are no earth faults - poor earth can play havoc with the ABS.

Do a search for "three amigos" there are a lot of posts!

Good luck mate.

my three amigos were due to shuttle valve electrical failure, but every time i tested the shuttle valve it was alright, if i pumped my brakes it would come on most times got ****ed of in the end and did the abs modular modification and never had any prob since

It will be the front bearing. Youl prob not feel much play but change the bearing and clear the faults and they'll stay away. Had same with mine, I changed sensor wire also as you did first.

hi again. right today i have gone ahead and carried out the wire conversion on the shuttle unit. after fitting the abs unit back in place i now went for the test. turned ignition on and all lights come on then start engine and bingo all lights go out except for the abs light. so i now put foot on brake pedal and no emigo lights great. but as soon as i pull off still ok until i accelerate then all 3 amigo lights come back on. and if i repeat this procedure it does it every time. now i have tested the abs sensors by jacking each wheel off the ground and disconnecting the abs plug that goes to the wheel. i then set my test meter to ohms 20. then put each prong on the pins in the plug that goes to the wheel and then get some one to spin wheel and i get a variable reading. now not sure how accurate this is but has any one got any more ideas as to what else to check. also i have not cleared any codes now could this cause the returning problems.
