Hi can any one help, have owened a disco II for 3 yeares no problems untill now. engine is running lumpy feels like its missfiring, had it pluged in to engin managmemt dignostic. and EVENTUALY GOT A CONSISTANT FAULT CODE OF

115 INJ 5 PEAK CHARGE LONG
INJ 5 OPEN CIRCUIT DETECTED

this is an intermitant Fualt I have been chasing down for about a month now.

so far the sugestions have been, fuel presure switch on end of common rail, dirty fuel (not likly used 3 tank fulls so far), MAS air sensor,and a miriad of other seansors, injector kuput, turbo wast gate not working.

I am reluctant to have any replaced untill some one can give me a definative answer .

Hi Mike, forgive Buster, he's a bit, well, shy :rolleyes: ;)

I run Tdi's, but I believe there is a MAP sensor on TD5 which often causes rough running. It needs taking out & cleaning.

Somewhere in the inlet manifold I think, the Td5 boys will be along soon.

By the way, "definative answer"" about a car problem, you're being a bit hopeful aren't you :p :rolleyes: ;)

Check the red plug on the engine ECU. See if it has engine oil in it . If so It can cause injector faults .Just wash it out with switch cleaner .
