Hi everyone I'm new to site ,

Got a discovery 1 with few mods for off roading

Just need info as to strata florida

I hear there is 7 river crossing and about 60 miles worth off laning in strata florida .

Just want to see where is the correct place to start

Is there any camp sites close to strata it's self

And anything I need to know !?

Please and thanks

Ok will make way into strata florida and find my way, looking forward to it , something new , going next weekend fri-sun

What about camp sites!?

Strata Florida Abbey is the best place to start, as it is mainly down hill.

If I can do it in a Freelander you should be able to, even fording the river, which was only about 750mm deep when I crossed it in April.

Make sure you have plenty of tyres. I punctured 2 General Grabber AT tyres in the side wall :D

My profile photo is from one of the crossings

Back home from strata

Good weekend

Great views

Great locals

And meeting other 4x4 owners

River crossing not the worst but good fun

Strata don
Swindon done
Salisbury plains done
Ireland done

Scotland next :)

As a general clue there are NO green lanes in Scotland. You can only drive the lanes with each separate landowners express permission. You might be able to arrange this via a scottish member or club, but, as DavidSally says, good luck ...

Trying to keep my helpful head on after a stressful day .. ;)

Yeah, see you Monday.

I do hope you're not L71 STC?:D

Little late posting, but there was a b&b which a group of 4x4'ers stayed at near Strata Florida. The place they stayed at had full maps of the lanes ect. Was in Total Offroad a couple of months back. Me see if I can find it :)
