Strange

Confused Driving home lost all clutch ahh in traffic jammed in 2nd gear oh the joy get home just check the reservoir and yep its empty no surprise but no sign of a leak anywhere???

order a new slave cylinder collecting tomorrow morning from ajays but no master trip to halfrauds get 5 litres of clutch and brake fluid (can never be to sure) brother in law comes over to help we bleed the system 5 times take it for a run and the pedal has still got full pressure still going to collect the cylinders tomorrow as you can never be sure

so the question is it a strange occurrence granted i never check the level in the first place or a small leak??

no sign of a leak anywhere from the cylinders? not a trace so am i missing something obvious and is it worth changing them just to be sure or wait until they go again but i will be keeping all the bits in the car at all times now so if and when it does go i can repair at the road side

car has had a recon gearbox and new clutch not long ago?

Sorted changed the slave cylinder today it was well past its sell by date it had been weeping hence the gradual loss of fluid but the clutch is nice and firm now factory fresh!

just got to get the master cylinder now as im sure that will go soon but thats the fun of a landy

usualy the slave cylinder gose not so common for the master to go.

Don't be too sure about that! Changed me M/C not that long ago, had same as above and thought it must be slave cylinder. Changed that and the hose to find ah couldn't bleed it... turns out it was the new M/C that was at fault!!! Changed it and everything's just dandy again

I keep checking the level now before every journey the missues is a few days off giving me a new daughter so you can never be to careful

i just got lucky that the Slave was in stock so i got that when i took the old one out the rubber bung didnt come with it so it was shot not sure how it wasnt ****ing out fluid all over the place just seeping but im ordering a master cylinder to keep in the wagon

one thing though i couldnt beeld the clutch using an easy bleeder it just wouldnt let me aas soon as the old fashioned way it was fine and dandy
