Hi everyone!
On a trip, the temp instrument of the car, suddenly jumps to the overheating area and the yellow check engine indicator, turns on. I stopped the car and i checked the water level, it was OK! After turn on the engine again, everything was normal. All this, happends four times but, only by turning the car to the right!! My OBD temp instrument, shows 93-95°C
What happends here?
Sorry again, for my bad english...
Cheers, Yiannis

Unfortunately, I don't know those details about... It's a 2005 model SE. How can I rrconize if it has th PRT?

So it should have a PRT, which looks like a small can with 3 pipes coming out of it. It's located in the coolant system between the engine and radiator.

However before investigating the PRT, you want to check the connection to the temperature sensor on the engine for corrosion. If the temperature sensor gets disconnected, the ECU puts the high temperature warning system strategy into action, which put the warning light on, the temp gauge goes to max, the the cooling fans come on full power.

OK. I have the PRT thermostat (I was wondering, what is this barrel).
The wires and the connection of the sensor, was OK (it was the first thing I checked).
All this, happens after some hours of continuous driving on highway, not at urban usage of the car.
Thanks again!

It' s happened again, just a few minutes ago...:(
Everything Ok, after restarting the engine. Temp. at 93º C
What is all this??

What's happened again?

The symptom i describe firstly, in my post: Temp. instrument goes suddenly to overheat position and the yellow engine warning light, turns on. By turn off - turn on the engine, everything was ok!
And, all this happends, only by turning the car to the right!!
