Sport Strange rumble around 50mph and now transmission error message 2009 rrs auto diesel

Any ideas of what might be happening? 2009 Range Rover Sport Automatic Diesel.

When I get on the road, everything is fine, but as soon as I get up to about 48mph, it feels like I'm driving on rumble strips. The first time it happened, I pulled over because I thought I had a flat tire... The rumble continues when I slow down, but after a few minutes, it goes away completely. Seems to come and go as it pleases, but usually comes back only when getting up to speed.

Now yesterday after starting, it gave me an error message of "Transmission Fault" - only turned on once and I can't get it to turn on again...

Loose wheel, damaged tyre, knackered UJ, wheel bearing failure. Easy things to check for starters.
Oil level OK in auto box and transfer box?

as above ,but check the oil ,if its sealed for life its probably never been checked...

Checked the levels, everything is right where it should be. Oil is a bit dirty so will change it out and see if it makes a difference. Last change was about 3k miles ago.

Tyres are in great shape (new this year) and alignment is good - doesn't pull in any way.

If it was a p38 ,id say torque converter lockup,at 48 to 50mph,but its a sport n dont know if u have a lockup point....

Have you checked the propshaft support bearing rubber bushing is intact?

Good shout discovery's are famous for it ,

If it's like an L322 it has a variable slip lock up clutch

plus have u plugged in diagnostics to get the codes and what engine do u have plse as indeed that will also help

hope u don’t mind me asking but at what temperature etc did u check the gearbox level at plse and can u remember what oil u used, many thks
