strange noise

gotta 51 reg td4 auto wi 69k on clock thats makin strange noises.....

get up to about 50mph and turn slightly to the right and a slight click click click noise starts... turn slightly left and it stops.

below 50mph nowt happens.

ruled out wheel bearing cos its not all the time.

front tyres are a little low but legal.

any ideas?

Sounds as though it may be the constant velocity joints just inside the front wheel bearings. Are the gaiters in good condition, if split they let in road dirt.

Sounds like CVs to me also. Front on-side seems to be a favorate.

Drive on as there will be far worse problems.Ya best get the mileage outta it while it sort of works...
