strange nocking noise when under accelaration.

Hi there wonder if anyone can help,ive got a strange noise when under accelaration,it sounds like a clicking noise as soon as you come off your accelarator it stops.The range rover is a 1999 4.6 v8.Any ideas will be gratefull.

Cracked exhaust manifold or gasket failed.

Thanks ill have a look,the noise sounds like a stick in a bike wheel rubbing on spokes if you get what i mean.

Mine did a similar thing over 2000rpm - was a blown HG
