P38A Strange gearbox fault on message centre

hi I am at present having an issue with my was which I am working through and have disabled for work purposes and fitted manual valve but and I have jumper end pins 7 & 18 in the ecu but my problem is when driving I get gearbox fault on message centre when indicating left but not right and when headlights are on but not with sidelights does anybody have any ideas where to start looking

Check the battery and charging system, especially the ground cables from the battery to the chassis. Gearbox Fault is usually the first sign of voltage/battery/charging problems and the fact that you get it when you turn on anything that has a high electrical load... Not sure about why it does it on the indicator though.

No problem.. Let us know how you get on. I can post up some electrical tests to do aswell to help trace where the issue is, if cleaning the earth points and the ends of the ground straps doesn't help.

I'm away for the next week or so, but if you can't trace it down and feel like a cruise down the M4 out to Swindon, then I'm happy to take a look at it with you.
