I have stopped start on my 2016 discovery 4. It seems to not work the majority of the time. I have just checked the aux battery and it is 13v so assume that is OK. Anyone know of anything else I can look at to try and get it to work.

Does it need an obd reader to reset the bus.

I'd assume there is a switch linked to the accelerator that may have gone wrong, or a dodgy connector somewhere.
But that is a very old skool attitude to have!
I am sure you can cancel it via an ECU somewhere but if you don't have your own diagnostic tool then yes you may have to pay good money to a garage to do it for you. Or else just live with having to turn the key!
Best of luck!

Have you looked in the manual as it would give you all the conditions needed for stop/start to work.
I.E engine temp and battery condition, I am sure the list is longer:).
How long have you had the car and has it been acting like this all the time or just started playing up?

Last visit to the UK the hire car was stop/start and was a pain as it didn't seem to do it all the time. obviously my driving style didn't work for it;).

Have you checked both batteries? There's a large battery on the passenger side, and a smaller battery on the driver's side.
Both need to be in perfect health for the stop/start to function. If either of the batteries are over 4 years old, then they'll be past there best, and unlikely to have sufficient capacity to satisfy the needs of the stop/start control module.

Three basic things will inhibit the stop start function, 1. The engine isn’t warm. 2. Battery hasn’t the capacity or the perceived capacity to carry out engine restarting until the control receives a signal from the generator that the battery has.
3. a/c is switching on.
Although the stop/start system cannot be isolated permanently, due to the complexity and its integration with other engine systems you can temporarily inhibit it via the dash switch, when starting the engine, until the engine is switched off and started again, you will have to press the button again… and so on to inhibit.

Other than that due to the system complexity get a LR garage to test the system, could be as simple as an intermittent signal from the brake pedal or gear box neutral position switch/ sensor.
