Stolen Puma 90XS - Merry Hill shopping centre 3rd Sept'12

LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90XS VN61 PFU REG STOLEN FROM MERRY HILL.REWARD FOR RETURN

Earlier today my land rover was stolen from Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Brierley hill... Was parked at 10:30 in the morning, Seen on cctv leaving stolen at 10:53. Orkney grey

No info provided yet about any other distinguishing features and indeed any extra layers of security...

Would have thought a 61 plate would have enough electrical immobiliser stuff on it to prevent most criminals, that's got to be a well organised steal.

Keys stolen from drivers pocket? Copied keys from a dodgy dealer? I know you can "Sniff" out the remote locking codes and get in, but, that doesn't help you with starting up the engine and driving away. Considering they did whatever they did in under 23 minutes, that's kinda quite impressive.

Takes me all of 7 minutes to put one on the back of a tilt and slide recovery truck, 15 if I use a spec and whip off a prop...I dare say these ruffians have access to similar if that's how they've done it

Hmm, got the impression it was driven away from the limited information available.

I agree that a low loader would be the quickest and easiest way to remove a vehicle... but... it doesn't suggest that was the case here.

can't believe how many defenders are getting nicked and the frequency

Split for parts on eBay, Put on stolen number plates. Sent abroad to name a few.

Best thing you can do is put security on it.

Pedal lockers, Wheel lock. Really ****ing loud alarm system. Trackers.

I have bugger all security, half a roof and still no bugger will nick it!

Abit close to home that, have parked my 90 up there numerous times.

Will keep a look out.
