STOLEN from Doncaster 20/01/12

my landrover defender (90) has been stolen off of my drive today whilst both and my partner were in and they had no keys! The registration number is YN58 PNY and it's black. stolen from Edenthorpe in Doncaster approx 10 am this morning. It has a ladybird sticker that we can't remove on the front bumper- please keep your eyes out for it. We are both upset and gutted

How long had you had it? If it's new to you i'd be questioning the garage or previous owner - if you had the keys, the easiest way to steel it is if they had the spare set.

We have both the master keysand the spare set with us. The police think they have towed it off of the drive! They stole indicators bulbs about four weeks ago and the police say they have been waiting for an opportunity to steal it. They have told us that over the past four years they have not come across any of the stolen parts or indeed full vehicles in the u.k. He said it will either be going abroad to Africa or india or it will be stripped for parts and off on a container ship abroad.

Very upset and too frightened to get another defender again. We have been told that if we do we need to install bollards in the drive and cctv. Not sure I want to live in Fort Knox, but love defenders. Had the car since September 2010 and best car we have ever had

Just heard another gone in doncaster and they have cut through a metal bollard with chainsaw!!!!!!!!!! They are certainly keen to get their hands on them
