On Thursday 17th February someone stole our pride and joy. We have owned our Landrover Defender 90 since 2003. It has been resprayed and loving restored. It has many happy memories for us. We go on holiday every year touring Scotland and the Outer Hebridies and it has never let us down. It was stolen from behind our house in Shaw, Oldham near Manchester. Reg G645 NRM although I imagine whoever has stolen it may have changed it's plates. It has green and white new seats in the front andf the middle seat has been removed. I would like to upload a picture of it but not sure how to if anyone could advise me I would be grateful. This landrover means so much to us we want it back whatever condition it is in. If anyone sees it please let me know Thanks Sarah

where does it end?

when they nick the last bloody one?

in the end they will be nicking them changing the plates and then selling them back to the original owners?

Sorry to hear of another landy going.

Did you have any additional security fitted to it at all? Discklock, clutch claw, alarm, battery isolator etc?
hmmmm.

theres a theme here.reckon peeps getting past extras now ratty?:mad:

get me tracker in short while.well pay day.

ill let you know how it goes..
shouldnt have to spend the money in my opinion it should be provided by the ins company with what they charge these days.

You on the road?

I'm asking everyone that posts a stolen thread now just to see what additional security thay had on em. Tbh most peeps that have posted in here that have answered have said they had NO extra security devices.

Yes Landy had engine immobiliser that was switched on. Police say they have have even towed it away!

i believe most if not 95 percent are driven away..

so the case is extra security to deter drive away is key.

ratty its time for a landyzone product i do believe:rolleyes:

May I suggest an air bag, and big metal spike under the seat, connected to the clutch pedal. Legal, no, but they won't do it again.
Just don't forget to turn it off before you get in... ;)

i learned the other day that a chap put monster air horns in his and when some dick tried to steal it after 30 secs he got blasted.cops found him in a daze wandering round the wagon.

its a fine line between protecting your landy and being sued for damages.:rolleyes:

like landy theft is right....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
